For 30 years a group of Puget Sound artists with a vision for Christian dramatics have served the community – under the name of The Evergreen Performers. We have a passion for ministry and a heart for the arts. We are based in Gig Harbor, but serve as a bridge between churches.

Founded in 1984, we began with a vision and dreams that have grown from a small Christian drama class (led by Chaplain Dave Howard his wife Diane Howard, and current director Sharon Cantrill) at the Ft. Lewis to the Christian drama ministry team we are today. We tour churches (providing chancel dramas and music for worship services) and local schools. We are known for producing top quality community theatre, mostly family musicals.

30 years later, we are still ministering to the military community, but now we consider them our audience’s treasured guests. We have produced 33 major musicals, toured to over 100 churches and watched 2 generations grow up, both on the stage and in the audience.

Some of our past productions have included an Easter Sunday Sunrise Service on American Lake (sponsored by the Ft. Lewis chaplains), The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Godspell, The Velveteen Rabbit, Angels, The Northwest Premier of Narnia, Pinocchio, Anne of Green Gables, The Family Nobody Wanted, Holiday Dinner Theatres, The Sound of Music, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn, Methuselah’s Gift, HiTops, The Kids of Bristol, and Pollyanna.
