Central Meadow
9850 64th St W, University Place, WA 98467

This 22-acre area is located in Chambers Creek Properties and is owned by Pierce County. There is an 11-acre lawn andMore a half-mile loop with links to the Soundview Trail.

The meadow offers acres of regularly maintained grass that's perfect for sports or a picnic. There's a fenced, off-leash dog area, and volunteers hope to make improvements to the site. Users can also look out onto Puget Sound via a platform at the meadow's west end, and trail-users can catch glimpses of golfers at the adjoined Chambers Bay Golf Course, as well as trains chugging along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks by the water. In September 2010, the county opened a pedestrian bridge that connect Central Meadow users with about two miles of Puget Sound beach, all without crossing the tracks.
