Police, Fire Take Over Joeseppi's On May 18

Just like they did earlier this year, they will volunteer their time to raise money for parks and recreation.

You like pasta. You like parks and recreation.

It only seems to reason that you'll like eating pasta to help parks and rec when the community's police and fire departments will volunteer their time to raise money for programs May 18.

and will host a "takeover" of Joeseppi's Italian Ristorante from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The restaurant is located in Tacoma's West End, 2207 North Pearl St.

Proceeds from the event will go toward UP Community Supported Parks and Recreation, the nonprofit that helps fund parks and recreation programs. As a bonus, members of the department actually staff the restaurant.

Joeseppi's is owned by former UP businessman Joe Stortini. Offerings range from pasta and pizzas to salads and deserts. Reservations are encouraged, so call today at 761-5555.
