Playground by the Sound: Final Day Of Building
The community playground that is being built entirely by volunteers in University Place will be under construction until 8 p.m. tonight. Organizers are asking volunteers to help.
Today is the last day to help build the Playground by the Sound, and organizers say they could sure use the help.
Since Tuesday, volunteers have been building the structure near the North Meadow area of Chambers Creek Properties University Place. However, organizers put out a call for volunteers, 18 and older, on Saturday.
"Time to reinforce the hard core builders! They really could use some back up this afternoon and evening, even tomorrow morning," organizer Rebecca Vader told Patch. "Cheerful painters and chip haulers can also be put to good use!"
