Peace Out 5K Will Get People Chugging Along Chambers Bay For A Good Cause
The June 2 event, part of the activities for Duck Daze 2012, is the only fundraiser of the year for the University Place-based organization.
The Peace Out 5K run is coming June 2, and the organization hopes participants will be willing to stretch those hammies for a good cause.
The event, which is part of , begins at 9 a.m., at Chambers Creek Properties, right before the Duck
Surprisingly, for an organization that provides so much support for other groups in the community, this is one of the few times it asks for help itself.

“It’s actually our only fundraiser that we've done for Peace Out,” according to Michelle McLean, executive director.
This is the first time the group has held a fun run.

Registration before the day of the race costs $25; and $35 day of the race. You can register via the Peace Out website, and registration includes a free, Peace Out 5K t-shirt.
All proceeds benefit Peace Out.
