Families Unlimited Network Looking For Donations, Grocery Bags

In January the University Place food bank served 538 families and disbursed 32,038 pounds of food, which was a record number. But donations this month are low.

In January the Food Bank served 538 families and disbursed 32,038 pounds of food. This is a record number. We received 15, 891 pounds of food in donations last month. Our shelves are getting low. Any little bit helps so when you go shopping please pick up an extra can or two of food and bring it by. The Food Bank is also in desperate need of grocery bags. So if you have a collection of paper or plastice grocery bags at home WE WILL TAKE THEM. Just drop them off at the Food Bank, the FUN office or UPPC (at the doors, in the food collection bins).

In the past, University Place has responded whenever people have needed help. Officials at FUN hope this won't be any different.
