Easter Egg Hunt Coming to Cirque Park on April 7

The fundraiser - which was held for the first time last Easter - will benefit the March of Dimes.

The Easter eggs are coming back to University Place, and so too, will the hunters.

Last year's event - which some residents didn't even know was taking place - drew hordes of egg hunters to the park. It was so packed, in fact, that organizers vowed to bring more eggs.

Alec Lewis with Farmers' Western Washington Recruiting Manager in University Place said, "This year, we will have over 12,000 Easter Eggs."

The event will also include face painting, arts and crafts, bounce houses, food and drinks, pictures with the Easter Bunny, a West Pierce Fire Department Truck, Amber Alert Free digital ID Booths, raffle prizes, and four of the Easter Eggs will have a free bike ticket and much more.

Farmers is one of the largest corporate sponsors of the March of Dimes, which works to prevent birth defects and infant mortality. Among their initiatives are newborn screening and education about healthy pregnancy practices and the genetic causes of birth defects.

Farmers gave $6.5 million to the organization last year.

Admission was free, but some activities required tickets available for $1 each.
