Clean Beach Group Hits Up Owen; Titlow Next Week

The group collected 25 pounds of trash Saturday.

While many in the Puget Sound soaked in Saturday's sun, one group of volunteers spent their time cleaning up .

The spent the day picking up trash in the Point Defiance beach.

According to the group's blog, "We collected about 25 pounds of trash, a few pairs of underwear...., socks and plenty of cigarette butts. Most of the trash was thrown along the walkway, the beach was pretty clean of litter."

Earlier this month, the group hiked the Chambers Bay are and saw that there was evidence of illegal dumping.
