University Place's Tierra Cockrell Breaks Three State Records In One Day

The 9-year-old is quickly making a name for herself, both in the state and across the country.

It's becoming harder to tell which is faster - Tierra Crockrell's legs or the rate at which she's using them to shatter records.

The 9-year-old wunderkind from University Place wrote herself into the record books in every event she competed in June 18 at the Hershey State Meet in Federal Way.

That's three state records in one day, for anyone who's counting.

According to youthrunner.com, Tierra shattered the records in the "standing long jump, 100m and 200m."

Tierra also holds the world record in the standing long jump for 9-year-olds, the 8-year-old world record in the long jump and 11 AAU national track and field titles.
