Tyler Jamison, May 9 (Part One Of Three)

In this installment, Tyler talks about family time and game time. And here's a tip: never eat a giant meal two hours before a game.

Spring break — well first off, it felt like mid-winter break, raining every day. Ugh.

But I tried to make the most of it, and it was definitely better than the last break. The first weekend my dad was home, we went for a one-day ski trip. It was nice having the family all together again, but it sucked because there was too much powder and inconsistent snow for us, so we only did about ten runs and took off.

On the way home my dad told us about every American War in a story like format. Later that night, we watched Pearl Harbor, which I haven't seen since I was about 10, when it came out. The next day we went to church, but had to rush to Seattle for a football workout with our large group trainer at UW. I haven"t thrown in a month because  I have been focusing on lifting and playing lacrosse.

Lifting has been going good. We had max testing the week before break and I power-cleaned 235, three times, squated 305, three times, and benched 260. My numbers are slowly going up, as usual. But I am more excited about my weight, It has been about four months and I consistently have weighed 171. That is 11 pounds since I started a higher protein diet.

My goal was 175 by August, but I am going to change it to 180 because I will have much more time this summer. I am going to lift five times a week instead of four. I just bought some multivitamins, but I need to make another trip to GNC to pick up some pre-supplement. I have been recommended to take it by many people and research shows it will benefit me greatly. Wednesday and Thursday I went down to Oregon with my LAX team to play in a tournament. I had a blast because my teammates are hilarious. The first day we went there it was bad though because we had Red Robin at 4 p.m. and and a game at 6 p.m.

Well I, being on my protein diet, had a Double Monster bacon burger, onion rings and fries. I soon regretted it. Within minutes of being in, I started to get pretty sick. Now this happened in the middle of the field, in the middle of the game, which caused my defender to freak out. Once I had the chance, I got off the field and continued to be sick, but when I finished I felt great! I got right back in the game :)

Wel thats all for now,

Tyler
