University Place's set the meet record for points in the Sub-Midget Girls Pentathlon event Sunday at the AAU Junior Olympics.

Crockrell set the record on the meet's second day with 3,081 points, besting Tia Jones' showing of 2,913 points last year.

The 11-year-old's mother, Tricia, told Patch that the pentathlon consists of 80-meter hurdles, the high jump, long jump, shot-put and 800-meter dash.

She isn't done, either, as she has an event everyday until Saturday.
