THIS WEEKEND: 2012 Curtis Invite at Chambers Creek Properties

Visitors to the recreational area in University Place this weekend might want to be aware of runners.

On Saturday, Curtis High will be hosting its annual cross-country invitational meet at Chambers Creek Properties.

Visitors to the area around Chambers Bay Golf Course might want to watch out for the runners. The bulk of the races take place between noon at 3 p.m.

The course is a two-loop, 100-percent rolling grass course, according to the invite's website.

Parking/Shuttle

There will be a shuttle bus available from Chambers Primary School for parents and other fans, as the parking lot at the Central Meadow will be closed to the general public and the golf course parking lot will be unavailable.

The bus will be leaving from Chambers Primary School (directions included in link), which is just down the street, less than a mile from the golf course entrance, and will leave every 10 minutes or so starting at 11 a.m.

The shuttle will also return passengers back to Chambers Primary throughout the day until 4 p.m. Cars coming into the golf course lot will be redirected to Chambers Primary, since there is a wedding reception scheduled for that day.
