If you like Isaiah Thomas, NBA basketball and know what a Squatch is, you'll love this news.

The Sacramento Bee is reporting that Sacramento Kings owners Gavin and Joe Maloof are close to finalizing a deal that will send the team to Seattle:

A columnist for Yahoo Sports reported on Twitter that the Maloofs are close to agreeing to sell the team for about $500 million to Chris Hansen, the financier who has a tentative deal in place to build a new arena.

Yahoo said the team would play at old KeyArena for two years and then move into the proposed new building.

This is huge news for anyone who has followed Isaiah Thomas, who used to play basketball at Curtis High in University Place and the University of Washington. He's now a guard for the Sacramento Kings.

If the reports are true, and a deal is close to bringing the Kings to the Northwest, how would you feel about it? Excited? Empathetic? Don't care? Tell us in the comment section below.

They are going to come to Columbus. http://www.nbatocolumbus.com http://www.facebook.com/nbatocolumbus

Mr. Carroll, if Columbus wants an NBA team, they will need more than the 7649 people who have join that movement (via the website you provided). Thats not even half an arena. Bring home the team we lost, because Clay Bennett took it from us. Even the NBA Commissioner wants Seattle over anyone else!

I'm cautiously excited and probably won't celebrate until a deal is signed. Having lost a team ourselves, I think we should definitely be empathetic to disgruntled Kings fans and welcome them to Northwest if they want. Other than that, I think it's great. Isaiah Thomas, back in the 253 and the 206, are you kidding me? How awesome would that be?

I think it would be great. For my reasoning you ask? Only so I can see my Lakers here locally, instead of driving to Portland. I can't stand many of the teams here. With the exception of this years ChickenHawks team. None of the NW sports teams really know how to win. And in Recent years the fans finally stand behind there football team. But god forbid they happen to be losing. I would see all of the seachickens gear at giveaway prices on Craigslist. But I give credit where credit is due. The chicken have been playing outstanding football. This state needs a Super Bowl win. It's long over due. They owe it to there fans. RAIDER NATION!!!!! Sorry I'm a die hard!!!!! I never turn my back on my team. Win,Lose or Draw. Lol. A whole lotta losing. But they are still my team. A True Raider Faithful.

Oh, so you're a California transplant. Well, that explains the reasoning behind some of your logic, Fermin :) Hey, quick question - how are those Lakers doing this year? They're like the third-best team in California, aren't they? And the Raiders, Fermin? Yeah, those guys did great this year :) Btw, my wife grew up in Charger land, so I know what happens when Raider Nation comes to town.
