Moody Hat Trick Helps Curtis Finish Season With Three-Game Win Streak

The team finished second in the Southwest Division and will play its first playoff game Friday.

REDMOND – Quinn Moody scored three goals to lead Curtis to an 11 – 8 boys high school lacrosse win at Overlake on Thursday to close the regular season.

For the Vikings, the win was the 11th of the season, and the team finished with an 11-5-0 record for second place in the Southwest Conference. The team is scheduled to play its first playoff game Friday.

Top performers for Curtis  included Brandon Dean, (Patch's own)  and Alex Larson with two goals apiece.  Dean, Jamison and Cory Monaghan combined for 19 ground balls to lead the Curtis defense.  Tony Nigh and Zack Budnick split time in the nets, combining for 22 saves.

For Overlake, Frost Cunningham led all scorers with 4 goals and Erik Risa netted 2 goals and grabbed 15 ground balls.

Curtis concluded its season with a three-game win streak to finish 11-5-0, while Overlake concludes its season with 5-10-0 record.
