Halftime: Dockery, Curtis lead Skyline 28-14

Rahmel Dockery has three touchdown receptions in the first half as Curtis leads Skyline 28-14.

Curtis leads Skyline 28-7 at halftime of 4A state semifinal at the Tacoma Dome.Rahmel Dockery has three touchdown receptions as the Vikings have taken advantage of four Skyline turnovers to build their lead. Curtis go off to a good start, as Darrielle Dixon intercepted a tipped Max Browne pass and returned it to the Skyline 28-yard line. But the Vikings drive was short-lived, as Dockery fumbled two plays later inside the 15-yard line and Skyline recovered.The Vikings forced a three-and-out by the Spartans and then put together a nine-play, 44-yard drive that ended with Tyler Jamison just getting into the end zone on a fourth-down run. Curtis came back on its next drive to widen the lead with Rahmel Dockery making an acrobatic catch in the corner of the end zone for an 11-yard touchdown reception that put Curtis up 14-0. That drive was set up after Skyline fumbled in the red zone and Jason Walker recovered. The Spartans again fumbled on their next drive, as Derek Berrey recovered for Curtis. On the next play, Dockery made a twisting catch, tip-toed the sideline and summersaulted into the end zone for the 21-0 lead.A bizarre play on the ensuing Skyline drive put the Spartans on the board. CJ Langlow intercepted Browne's pass, but fumbled after being hit from behind at the 20-yard line. The ball bounced forward, hit another play and caromed back towards the end zone. Nic Sblendorio picked up the ball at the 6-yard line and walked in for the score to cut the lead to 21-7. Dockery and Jamison drove the Vikings right back down the field, using a little trickery to get there. Jamison handed off to Dockery, who ran towards the sideline, pump-faked twice and then threw a 40-yard completion to Langlow. One play later, Dockery caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Jamison to push the lead back to three touchdowns. Jamison was 8 for 10 passing in the first half for 139 yards and three touchdowns.Skyline, seemingly desperate to slow down the Vikings, went for it on fourth down twice during their next drive. The second fourth-down attempt resulted in a 6-yard touchdown pass from Max Browne to Teran Togia that cut the lead to 28-14 just before the half.
