Boys Lacrosse: Curtis Falls to Auburn Riverside

Curtis' Ryder Choate netted two goals and an assist, while Zach Budnick had 14 saves in goal for the Vikings.

UNIVERSITY PLACE – Josh Davenport’s hat trick led Auburn Riverside to its fourth win of the season wth an 11-4 boys high school lacrosse defeat of Curtis, Tuesday at Curtis High School in University Place.

Auburn Riverside scored the lone first-quarter goal before putting-up three in the second to take a 4-1 half-time lead.  In the third, Auburn Riverside turned up the heat, blanking Curtis 4-0 before matching the Vikings’ three goals in the fourth.

Joey Lucchesi and Kolten Rosin each had two goals to round-out the leaderboard for Auburn Riverside.

Curtis was led by Ryder Choate with two goals and an assist, while Zach Budnick had 14 saves in goal for the Vikings.

Auburn Riverside (4-2-0) next faces next faces Issaquah (4-3-0), Friday, April 5 in an 8 p.m. start at Pete’s Pool Stadium in Enumclaw.

Curtis (3-5-0) next faces Woodinville (2-5-0), Tuesday, April 9 in an 8 p.m. start at Curtis High School in University Place.
