WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? Curtis Products Cornelius Edison, Max Hersey

Edison is seeing action as a lineman for the Portland State Vikings, and Hersey is suiting up for the Washington State Cougars. Just two years ago, they were suiting up in University Place.

What are Curtis products Cornelius Edison and Max Hersey up to these days?

Playing college football, that's what.

The two members of Vikings' state semifinals team in 2010 are now in the college ranks, and football fans have already spotted them.

Edison, a former Patch contributor, is considered one of the top offensive lineman for Portland State University. Last year as a freshman, he played three games. He's already played that many this year, two of them as a starter at left guard.

Patch user Dan provided the above photo of Edison playing against the University of Washington this past Saturday.

"Here's a photo of your former Patch blogger, Cornelius Edison #77, playing today against the Huskies, protecting his QB," he wrote.

Thanks for that Dan. You're not the only one who spotted a former Viking.

I was in Las Vegas last weekend to watch the Washington State Cougars narrowly (a little too narrowly for this alum's sanity) defeat UNLV.

While in the stands, I snapped a few shots of No. 44 Max Hersey, who also used to rock Curtis blue. According to the stat sheet, he entered the game but didn't record any stats.

I covered these guys as seniors. It's great to see their success at the next level. Feel free to congratulate them in the comments below, Curtis fans.
