Vikings Shine Again On Television With 27-6 Victory Over Spanaway Lake

Playing in front of television cameras, Curtis scored 20 points in the second half to pull away at Art Crate Field. The Vikings have now reeled off four straight victories.

The Curtis Vikings seem to relish the spotlight.

Playing in front of ROOT Sports television cameras for the second time this season and on the road, the Vikings scored 20 points in the second half to pull away to a 27-6 victory over Spanaway Lake.

Scott Wismer threw two touchdown passes and ran for another for Curtis (5-1), whch in the first half appeared to be in a defenseive struggle with the Sentinels at Art Crate Field.

But it was the Vikings who made a huge goalline stop at the end of the third.

Here's a picture of the final score supplied by Patch user Dan.

What did you think of Curtis' performance? Were you at the game or did you watch it television? Tell us in the comments below.

Can we get these guys on ROOT Sports every week, a la Notre Dame and NBC? Go Viks! (And thanks Dan and Howard for the updates)

The Vikings defense is really something special this year. Their goal line stand at the end of the 3rd was a thing of beauty. It was freezing up in the visitor stands last night. I could have stayed home and watched it on ROOT Sports, but there is nothing like the pure fun of a live high school football (or basketball) game.

My wife and I were at the game rather than watching it on television. I concur with Dan, the goal line stand was really exciting. I am still have problems with posting from my iPhone, but I think it is operator error. Go Viks and it's not too early to be thinking about the final game of the "regular" season with Federal Way. This could be a real battle!

You can't stay home, Dan. You're Patch's sideline (or at least bleachers) reporter :)

That game is going to be insane, Howard.
