Schools

Tyler Jamison, Oct. 20

Coming off a pair of big wins, Curtis QB Tyler Jamison talks about school work and getting a rare chance to see family from out of state.

I'm in English class now supposed to be reading, but I'd rather write another entry in the U.P. Patch, so I'll read tonight instead.  The last time I wrote I was preparing for a big game versus Auburn.

Well, we won 41-14!  I probably played my best game of the year.  The defense did a great job getting our offense on the field.  I threw four touchdown passes, one of them being on the second offensive play to CJ Langlow.  We also won last Friday against Emerald Ridge, and now we have a short week of training because we play Bethel on Thrusday night.  I don't care for Thursday games much because it's tough Friday morning walking from class to class after my body gets a beating.  Although the upside is the wait is not as long, regularly it kills me waiting for Friday.

Today has been a good day, first period I got a good lift in while coach Houseman was screaming in my ear.  The second period, AP stats, ah eh...but third was exciting in AP government. I registered to vote and took a few quizes, but what I'm most excited for is practice becase we are game-planning for Bethel and learning new plays.  Hopefully they are passing plays (or QB runs)?  Then I'm gonna get home eat and sleep because I'm tired...as usual.

These last two weeks have been hectic.  I had a paper to write, SAT's on Saturday, tons of homework, FOOTBALL, and my dad's family flew in town from NC, so I had to keep the house clean...but we had fun.  We walked around Pike Place Market, and my Uncle Bobby from Long Island, NY, took my brother and I to a pool hall and go-carting.  See, my family is always cool because I don't get to see them very often.  My mom's side of the family lives in Texas while my dad's lives mainly in North Carolina, New Jersey and Texas.  Being all the way in the great Northwest, it is hard to see my family very often.  My aunt and uncle came out to watch the varsity and the freshmen teams this week.  My dad flies in Thursday for the Bethel game.  On Friday, I'll turn 18.  Hopefully he'll take me to the range to go shooting and work on college applications with me.

Well I hope you come support this Thurday out in Bethel!!! It will be a good game.
