Sloane Barton Helps Curtis Girls Stay Undefeated in Lacrosse Action

The Lady Viks toppled Graham-Kapowsin 18-5 on Wednesday, an impressive road win to go 2-0 on the season.

SPANAWAY -- Sloane Barton connected for five goals as Curtis cruised to its second win of the season with an 18 - 5 girls high school win over Graham-Kapowsin, Wednesday at Bethel High.

Barton, a senior attack, was among three Lady Viks to score in the win. Emily Davis and Courtney Hudak both had three goals and Carina Coppedge-Pope had seven saves. G-K junior Clarris Hutchins and senior Taylor Patzkowski each had two goals.

For Curtis, junior Davis scored just 16 seconds into the game to get things rolling as the Lady Viks went on to a 15 - 0 lead at the half. In the second GK added five goals but were never able to mount a threat.

Curtis (2-0-0) next faces Spanaway Lake (1-0-0), Wednesday, March 28 in a 7 p.m. start at home. Graham-Kapowsin (0-3-0) next faces Garfield (0-1-0), Friday in a 6 p.m. start at Seattle's Magnuson Park.
