Meet a Princess: Carly Knox, Stadium High School

Meet Daffodil Princess Carly Knox, a senior at Stadium High School.

Name: Carly Knox

Age: 18

School: Stadium High School

Grade: Senior

What accomplishments brought you to the Daffodil Festival? I hold a 3.91 GPA, and am the President of the Stadium Choir Club as well as the Treasurer of the Honor Society.  I am a member of Nordstrom’s BP Fashion Board, as well as my school’s show choir “Ars Nova” and the concert choir.

What are your future plans? I will attend the University of Washington to study business and marketing to one day become a buyer for Nordstrom.  I will take various internships while in college, and I plan to study abroad to enhance my knowledge of the world, specifically global business.

Who is someone you admire? I truly admire Rachel Joy Scott, a 17-year-old girl who died in the Columbine tragedy. Though she was only on this earth for a very short amount of time, her random acts of kindness inspired all those around her, and she left behind a huge legacy. She exemplified that no act of kindness is too small or unimportant.

In 10 years, I will be… working my way up the corporate ladder at Nordstrom. My dream is to attend Fashion Weeks in New York, Milan, Paris and London, to see the upcoming trends in the world of fashion. I really love the emphasis which many designers now place on giving back, and I plan to help coordinate some outreach programs through my work. I will be living in a big city, and will attend various workout classes.  I love staying up with the latest health and fitness news, and will read as much about the subjects as I can. I may find my prince charming by then, yet I am in no rush to get married.

One of my hidden talents is… I can hula hoop for hours!
