Impact Sports Offering Baseball Open House

The University Place instructional facility is working with local baseball instructor and former professional player Aaron Trolia.

First it was about basketball, then volleyball.

Now fans of will have another sport in which to hone their skills.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on June 4, the University Place athletic institute will hold an open house for its newest foray into sports: baseball.

says Impact, which has been growing and expanding since it opened in September, wants to offer another option for a community that’s interested in baseball, no matter what time of year.

“Baseball is big in UP,” he told Patch. “We know that.”

Since its opening, The instructional facility has allowed students to finish their homework, socialize and, of course, play basketball and volleyball.

Now, with baseball, Impact is expected to have an even bigger reach.

Nelson said visitors will be able to use two batting cages and a pitcher’s mound once it finalizes a regular schedule.

It is working . Patch featured Trolia and his consulting business, AT consulting earlier this year.
