CURTS FOOTBALL: Vikings Overwhelm Auburn Riverside On Both Sides Of The Ball

The University Place team scored early and often, and it held its opponent to 39 total yards in a 49-0 victory Friday night.

AUBURN-No letdown here.

Curtis struck early and often on big plays, and its defense was impenetrable, as the Vikings dominated Auburn Riverside, 49-0 on non-league action Friday night at Auburn Memorial Field.

Curtis opened the scoring less than a minute into the game, and its defense, which has grown overwhelmingly stronger since the Vikings’ (6-1) lone loss more than a month ago, again shined. It kept Auburn Riverside out of the end zone and out of rhythm the entire game, holding it to 39 total yards on offense.

Relying on early protection from his offensive line, Scott Wismer opened the Vikings’ scoring with a 44-yard pass to Jason Williams less than a minutes into the game.

Two minutes later, the Vikings’ special teams blocked a punt that was recovered in the end zone.
