Curtis Water Polo Remains Undefeated With Win Over Peninsula

After going undefeated over the weekend, the team reeled off a 17-6 win Tuesday on the strength of CJ Chapple's eight goals.

The Curtis boys water polo team remained undefeated on the young season Tuesday night with a 17-6 victory over Peninsula.

The game - played at Mt. Tahoma - featured eight goals from Curtis senior CJ Chapple. Nolan Peterson added four goals, Derek Litts had three goals and Porter Sale added a pair of goals.

It was the second win over Peninsula in four days for the Vikings. On Saturday, they swept a five-team, varsity jamboree at Wilson. The defending state champions beat Peninsula (14-7), Wilson (10-4), Enumclaw (7-5), and Rogers, 12-2.

The Vikings next play Auburn Mountain View at 7:20 p.m., Thursday at Mt. Tahoma.
