It was a good weekend for Curtis High's Kennadi Bouyer.

The Lady Viks' track and field star - a key cog to the team's state title last year - took second place in the 60-meter dash as a member of the Flying AJ's team in the 2013 Simplot Games in Pocatello, ID.

She crossed the finish line in 7.45 seconds, the second-fastest indoor time this year. The winner clipped her by .03 of a second.

Bouyer also finished second place in the long jump with a mark of 19 feet, 2.5 inches. She lost to the winner by an inch.

Kira Perkins, another Curtis senior, finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 38 feet, 9 inches.

And one more thing. Bouyer's post-high school plans are set. Her family told Patch that she has accepted a full scholarship to attend the University of Mississippi and will compete for Ole Miss.

Congratulations to Kennadi and Kira.
