Curtis' Kennadi Bouyer Records Second-Fastest 60-Meter Indoor Time This Year

Bouyer, part of the Flying AJ's Track Club, competed over the weekend at the 2013 Simplot Games indoor meet in Pocatello, ID, where she was clocked at 7.45 seconds in the 60-meter dash. Her family says she'll attend Ole Miss on a full scholars

It was a good weekend for Curtis High's Kennadi Bouyer.

The Lady Viks' track and field star - a key cog to the team's state title last year - took second place in the 60-meter dash as a member of the Flying AJ's team in the 2013 Simplot Games in Pocatello, ID.

She crossed the finish line in 7.45 seconds, the second-fastest indoor time this year. The winner clipped her by .03 of a second.

Bouyer also finished second place in the long jump with a mark of 19 feet, 2.5 inches. She lost to the winner by an inch.

Kira Perkins, another Curtis senior, finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 38 feet, 9 inches.

And one more thing. Bouyer's post-high school plans are set. Her family told Patch that she has accepted a full scholarship to attend the University of Mississippi and will compete for Ole Miss.
