Curtis Girls Water Polo Team Falls Short in State Title Game

After defeating Lakes and Enumclaw, the Lady Viks fell to rival Gig Harbor, 9-7. Still, Coach Dennis Piccolotto says there was plenty to be excited about this year for the young Lady Viks.

The team fell short of a state title over the weekend.

In the championship game Saturday at Curtis, the Lady Viks battled goal-for-goal against Gig Harbor but they "eventually ran out of gas," according to Coach Dennis Piccolotto. It marked the fifth straight time the two teams have met in the title game.
