Curtis Boys Basketball Is Rolling

The Vikings improved their record to 12-1 following a 84-54 victory at Graham-Kapowsin on Tuesday night. Their last loss was Dec. 11 to unbeaten Federal Way.

Don't look now, but Curtis is playing some of the best basketball in the state.

The Vikings improved to 8-1 in SPSL play and 11-1 overall after they cruised to an 84-54 victory at Graham-Kapowsin on Tuesday night.

Coach Tim Kelly's team hasn't lost since Dec. 11, when it fell to the unbeaten, No. 1-ranked Federal Way Eagles at home.

Not counting a Hawaii tournament in which the Vikings easily took the title, Curtis' average margin of victory has been almost 18 points a game since the Federal Way loss. Over the weekend, it eeked out a back-and-forth, 67-65 win over Bethel at home.

Curtis is ranked No. 4 in The News Tribune's 4A poll and No. 10 in The Seattle Times' poll.

On Tuesday night, Dom Robinson led the team with 22 points while Andre Lewis chipped in 17 points.

Curtis next plays at Emerald Ridge on 7 p.m., Saturday.Β
