Operational Changes at the Properties

This summer, maintenance and operation of the open spaces, event coordination, and facility rentals on the 930-acre Chambers Creek Properties will be transferred from Public Works and Utilities to Parks and Recreation.

The two departments have jointly overseen planning and development of Chambers Creek Properties since 1995. Parks staff already handle these duties at other county locations so the change will create operational efficiencies and is compatible with the core mission of parks and recreation. You’ll see new faces on the trails and at the ESB but primary contact information will remain the same. Ownership of the properties is not affected (Sewer Utility–730 acres, Parks–200 acres).
