I am glad they are staggering the closings in case we have a last minute need and don't quite know where the new locations (don't panic on Friday!) will be...lol. This whole process was an interesting excercise of big money and the voice of the people via the initiative process, with elected officials in the middle. As a candidate for the legislature, I am keenly aware of how interwoven `interests' can be. From `prohibition' to `easy access'...this, too, is `evolving'. If we actually pay less at the check out counter, that will be a sober, I mean, `non somber' moment!

I say, let's raise a glass to toast in farewell, and welcome a new chapter in AA. ;-)

Seems prices may be going in a negative direction for consumers..who would have thought...? `Some costs going up Friday, as private retailers take over liquor sales' http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2018296171_liquor27.html

I can imagine that prices may go up at some retailers. But there are some drug stores, like Rite Aid, that have some of the best prices around on beer and wine. I would image that their prices on the hard stuff may be priced equally as well, when on sale.
