Denny Heck, the Democratic frontrunner for the , got a big nod from a national political publication this week.
Roll Call, one of the most influential publications on Capitol Hill, highlighted the Olympia Democrat as one of its more likeable candidates.
" Heck is a thoughtful, no-nonsense legislator whose generally liberal views should fit his district. But unlike some Members from both parties, he is likely to be more about legislating than posturing."
Roll Call contributing writer Stuart Rothenberg wrote that Heck, who lost an earlier bid for Congress, could benefit from the formation of the 10th District, which includes University Place and Lakewood.
