Public Hearing on Marijuana Moratorium Scheduled for May 6
The University Place City Council will host a public hearing on a proposed marijuana moratorium during the regular meeting on May 6. The ordinance would prohibit marijuana businesses within city limits for 6 months.
Should University Place allow marijuana retailers or medicinal dispensaries within city limits?
That's the question up for debate at next week's public hearing. The University Place City Council is considering a moratorium on licensed marijuana sellers and prohibiting its sale within city limits. If the UP council approves the moratorium, it would be in effect for 6 months.
The public hearing will held in Council Chambers at Town Hall on May 6, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.
