Just In Time For Summer, University Place's Own Spray Fountain
The water feature is part of the Market Square area at Town Center, right in front of the University Place Library.
This might come as surprise to some in University Place, but the community hasΒ its own water spray area right in front of the .
The children's spray area at Market Square, right off of Bridgeport Way West, features a trio of fountains that shoot coordinated spouts of water nearly 5 feet into the air. To activate it, users press a red button located directly west of the plaza.
Officials say the fountain has been installed for some time but only recently became operational.

It should give families some respite during a hot summer day, if that ever comes this year.
It's not as large as, say, the spray parks of Tacoma Metro Parks or the Seattle Center. The plaza is only about 10 feet in diameter.

Still, the water feature should keep many a family happy and entertained when temperatures rise. Best of all, it's located right in UP.
