Election Season Begins With Ken Campbell Announcing His Candidacy

He's vying for one of three positions on UP City Council that voters will decide in 2011.

Local Realtor Ken Campbell has thrown his hat into the race for Position 6 on the University Place City Council. It's one of three positions on the City Council that's up for grabs in 2011.

The position is currently held by Gerald Gehring, who hasn't indicated whether he will run for re-election.Β

Ken Campbell announces his candidacy for Position # 6 of the City Council of University Place.

He will give a strong voice to businesses and citizens of University Place, focusing on public safety, economic development, and the environment. His extensive career in management, with responsibility for operations, environmental and energy, and liaison with community and state agencies give him the experience and ability to provide direction and guidance to satisfy the residential and business needs of University Place. He listens, collaborates and acts, all in the interest of a viable and innovative solution to the issue at hand.
