West Pierce Called to Extinguish House Fire

Smoke alarm was not working in home on Robin Road West.

West Pierce Fire & Rescue crews this morning responded to a house fire reported shortly before 10 a.m. in the 4300 block of Robin Road West.

The occupant was home at the time and smelled smoke coming from the upstairs living space. The smoke alarm was not working at the time of the fire.

Firefighters declared the fire under control at 10:15 a.m. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage was limited to the upstairs area.

West Pierce fire personnel encourage all residents to test their smoke alarms at least once a month to ensure that they are working.
