UP Police Department Launches Cadet Program

Are you between the ages of 15 and 21, and interested in law enforcement? Consider joining the University Place Police Cadet Program, a partnership with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

Teens and young adults in the community have an exciting new opportunity: to become the first cadets of University Place.

The UP Police Department is launching a new cadet program for youths ages 15 to 21, in conjunction with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. The career-building opportunity is a way to network with local officers and explore the world of law enforcement.

The first meeting is scheduled for May 19 at the University Place Police Department, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.Β
