University Place Police Respond To Fight Involving Tire Iron on Cirque

Two drivers who collided into each other got into an argument. One of them pulled out a tire iron. An off-duty Lakewood police officer was at the scene and held the suspect at gunpoint until deputies arrived.

A driver who got into a collision tonight on Cirque Drive West got into an argument with the other driver, pulled out a tire iron and was held at gunpoint by an off-duty police officer, police are saying.

The incident happened this evening, according to University Place Police Chief Mike Blair.

Two drivers collided with each other, and the drivers started fighting. One of the drivers was armed with a tire iron, Blair said.

An off-duty Lakewood police officer was at the scene, and the officer held the driver armed with a tire iron at gunpoint until University Place Police Deputies arrived.
