University Place Police, Fire Report No Major Incidents On Fourth Of July

The fire department responded to a few small fires, but it was a pretty slow going overall.

University Place officials say the Fourth of July was quiet in terms of emergencies, and that's a good thing.

West Pierce Fire & Rescue didn't respond to any major emergencies or fireworks-related calls in UP.

"We had a few small spot fires β€” grass and beauty bark, mostly β€” but nothing of any significance," says Capt. Jenny Sharp.
