University Place Police Accepting Donations For Pierce County Santa Cops Program

Police are accepting donations of new toys children's toys and clothing, toiletries and household essentials, gift cards and non-perishable food that will go to local families in need.

University Place Police are asking the community's help to make sure needy families have a good Christmas.

The department is accepting donations on behalf of the Pierce County Santa Cops, a nonprofit that provides food, children’s gifts and clothing and other necessities to families in need during the holiday season.

The program is asking for donations of new toys children’s
toys and clothing, toiletries and household essentials, gift cards and non-perishable food.

University Place residents can drop donations off at the University Place Police Department, 3609 Market Place W., Suite 201.

PIERCE COUNTY SANTA COPS TO COLLECT FOOD AND TOYS

Tacoma, WA (November 8th, 2012) Through, Friday, December 7th, Pierce County Santa Cops is accepting
donations to benefit local families in need.

Sheriff’s Department deputies, support staff, cadets and volunteers will accept donations of new toys children’s
toys and clothing, toiletries and household essentials, gift cards and non-perishable food at the following dates
and locations:

Saturday, November 17th and Sunday, November 18th
Safeway
9am to 3pm
11501 Canyon Rd E, Puyallup

Additionally, through Friday, December 7th, Pierce County Santa Cops will be accepting donations at the Pierce
County Sheriff’s Dept Headquarters (in the County-City Building) and the South Hill, University Place, Edgewood,
Peninsula and Foothills (Bonney Lake) stations

All donations benefit Pierce County’s struggling families in need. Families are selected for Santa Cops deliveries
through referrals from the law enforcement community and local schools, ensuring that Santa Cops assistance is
truly needed. In 2011, Pierce County Santa Cops assisted over 100 families. This year, the need is even greater.

County Santa Cops hopes to reach as many deserving families as possible and engages in a variety of fundraising
activities throughout the year to help with this mission.
