University Place Issues CodeRED Alert Over Doorstep Package Thefts
The city encourages residents to be mindful of neighbors and report anything suspicious.
University Place residents got the following CodeRED alert about package thefts Friday just in time for the gift-giving season:
This is your University Place Police calling with a CodeRED message. We have seen an increase in doorstep package thefts. Please be extra mindful of neighbors and report anything you feel may be suspicious, as it is occurring, by dialing 911. Please also consider alternate delivery arrangements to ensure package safety.
