Swimmer Rescued from Lake Tapps Dies at Hospital
A young man rescued by dive crews late Sunday afternoon on Lake Tapps passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital later in the evening.
UPDATE 11 p.m., 8/5/2012:
The 19 year-old man passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital, Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer tweeted at 10:13 p.m.

A young man was rescued from drowning Sunday after he went under the water while swimming at Pierce County Park on Lake Tapps, according to East Pierce Fire & Rescue.
Dive teams from EPFR, the Pierce County Sheriffβs Department and Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to the scene just before 5:30 p.m. They found the young man approximately 15 minutes after the first crews arrived.

He was transported by boat to a waiting medic unit. Firefighter-paramedics treated the patient at the scene and transported him to a local hospital.
