VIDEO: Slain Trooper Tony Radulescu Remembered; Memorial Set For Thursday in Kent

Hundreds gathered in Port Orchard to remember the Washington State Patrol trooper who was killed during an overnight traffic stop Feb. 23.

Christian Life Center in Port Orchard held a community candlelight vigil to honor fallen Trooper Tony Radulescu on Monday night, Feb. 27.

Patch reader Chuen Tsao posted the following message and the video of the vigil on the Gig Harbor Patch Facebook page.

"My church held a candle light vigil for trooper Tony Radulescu. The trooper was a member of this church. He was best friends with the lead pastor's son-in-law. After 5 minutes of singing, the pastor speaks."

The memorial procession for Trooper Radulescu will begin at Kitsap Mall in Silverdale Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. It will make its way through Port Orchard and continue on SR 16 eastbound to I-5 and south to SR 512.

The service will be held at the Showare Center arena in Kent at 1 p.m. The public is welcome.
