UPDATE: Searchers Find Body of University Place Man in Cascades, Reports Say

John Wright, 50, went on a solo hike in the Cedar Falls Watershed area on Friday morning. KIRO an KING are reporting that his body was just discovered near North Bend.

The story of missing University Place hiker John Wright, who never returned from a solo hike Friday morning, apparently has a tragic ending.

KING 5 is reporting that authorities are searching for a University Place man who went hiking Friday in the central Cascades.

John Wright, 50, went on a solo hike Friday in the Cedar Falls Watershed area, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

"He was supposed to return to pick up his daughter around 6:30 p.m." the television station reports. "His wife received a call about 20 minutes after that from her daughter saying he hadn’t picked her up."
