Police Looking For Suspect Who Escaped By Leaping From Second-Story Window In Lakewood

Authorities tracked him through the Chambers Creek area of University Place.

Authorities are looking for a man who escaped from the Department of Corrections and Lakewood Police on Tuesday.

The suspect jumped out of a second-story window about 5 p.m., Tuesday in the Oakbrook neighborhood and fled from a residence in the 7400 block of Ruby Drive Southwest, Lakewood Lt. Chris Lawler said.

The man has a felony robbery warrant and is listed as a violent offender, police said.

The K9 unit tracked the suspect all the way down through the Chambers Creek area in University Place. Police have not made any arrests. Officers with Lakewood, Dupont, Steilacoom and University Place helped with the search.
