ASSAULT: Police Looking For Man Who Hit Domino's Pizza Worker In Parking Lot Last Week

The man was apparently upset that the worker - a woman in her 50's - touched his car, according to authorities.

University Place Police hope the public can help them identify a man who they believe assaulted a worker who was handing out flyers last week.

Chief Rusty Wilder says the attack occurred shortly after 3 p.m., last Wednesday.

The Domino’s worker – a woman in her 50’s – was handing out flyers in the parking lot of the liquor store at 6824 S. 19th St.

The suspect spotted her “touching” his vehicle, Wilder said, and confronted her. After the two exchanged words, the suspect, “unprovoked, smacked her a couple of times with a closed fist.”

Witnesses told police that the suspect got in his truck and drove away. West Pierce Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene and treated her for her injuries. The victim is doing OK, Wilder said.

The suspect is described a white male in his late 30’s or early 40’s, about 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing denim pants and a baseball cap.

He drove off in a newer black truck, Wilder said.

Authorities ask that anyone with information call University Place Police at 798-4722.
