Lakewood Police Searching For Stabbing Suspect

Miguel Valdivia-Cabrera, 19, is suspected of stabbing his roommate while on some type of drug.

On June 1, at 1:51 a.m., Lakewood Police responded to an apartment located in the 8800 block of John Dower Road Southwest for a report of a stabbing in neighboring Lakewood.

When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old Hispanic male that had suffered numerous stab wounds. The victim did not speak English, but later told detectives that a roommate assaulted him while on some type of drug and it was unknown why. The victim was transported to the hospital with potentially life threatening injuries but has survived.

The investigation has revealed that the suspect roommate was positively identified as a Hispanic male named Miguel Valdivia-Cabrera, 19. A felony no-bail warrant for first-degree assulthas been issued for his arrest.
