The two early-morning shootings on Sunday are being investigated as separate crimes, as there were different guns used in each shooting, Trooper Guy Gill tweeted on Tuesday.
He also said that the shots did not come from an overpass or an elevated location.
A minivan was shot on eastbound State Route 16, by the North Jackson Ave. and the Narrows Bridge at 4:15 a.m. At 4:45 a.m., a full-sized sedan was shot multiple times on northbound I-5, between South 56th St. and South 38th Street.
No one was injured in either shooting. Both vehicles were owned and driven by private citizens and not affiliated with any business, Gill told Patch.
"Right now we are treating the shootings as 2 separate incidents. The ONLY thing that links them is time frame and proximity," Gill said.
Anyone with information is asked to call State Patrol detective Vic Mauro at 253-538-3176.
