Fire At Teriyaki Restaurant Under Investigation

An employee of the restaurant called 911 when he smelled smoke.

Crews responded to a fire at Kim's Wok & Teriyaki on Sunday night.

Here's the recap from :

On Sunday, May 8 at approximately 10:10 p.m., firefighters responded to a commercial fire located at 2620 Bridgeport Way West.  The first crews were on scene within three minutes and saw smoke coming from the side of the building.  This building contained multiple businesses and the fire was determined to be coming from a teriyaki restaurant.

An employee of the restaurant called 911 when he smelled smoke.  The fire was contained to that business and did not extend to the other two.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire and the cause is currently under investigation.

The fire was contained to that business and did not extend to the other two. Except I drove up to Auto Zone today and they were not open because of major smoke damage, all the business there in that strip mall had their doors open and you could smell the smoke from your car from the parking lot. Not a good day for all of them.

This is so awful, I hope they're able to reopen! We love Kim's Wok! See you tomorrow!
