'Bad Hair Bandit' Who Hit University Place Bank Twice Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison

This bandit will have bad hair behind bars.

The female bank robber federal authorities dubbed the was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison.

Cynthia Lynn Van Holland, 48, will also have to pay more than $33,000 in restitution, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Eastern California.

, another in Tacoma, another in Spanaway, and more than 15 others across Washington, Oregon, California and Montana.

She hit the branch on Bridgeport Way West twice: once on Feb. 19, 2011 and another two months later.

She was arrested in Placer County, Calif., in August 2011 after robbing a Bank of the West branch in Auburn, Calif.

Federal authorities in Seattle dubbed Van Holland the "Bad Hair Bandit" because she wore wigs and other unusual disguises during the crimes.
