Authorities Searching For Two Men Who Robbed AM/PM In University Place Today

One of the men carried a black, semi-automatic handgun and held the cashier at gunpoint.

University Place Police are searching for two men who robbed the AM/PM early this morning.

Two men walked into the convenience store on Bridgeport Way and 27th Avenue West about 1 a.m., today. One of the men carried a black, semi-automatic handgun and held the cashier at gunpoint, Chief Mike Blair said.

The men took an undisclosed amount of cash and Newport Menthol cigarettes.

A K-9 unit tracked the men two and a half blocks northeast of the business, where they had fled. They were, however, caught on the store's surveilance camera.

The men are described as black, and they wore dark clothing. One of the suspects wore a black hoodie with the word "MISSOURI" in white lettering across the chest.
