Is "What can I get Started for You", providing Excellent Customer Service?

Offering your customers more

Have you noticed enhanced customer service at many businesses recently? I sure have! From the friendly greeting at local coffee shops (and I am not referring to the line “What can I get started for you?”) to cashiers stepping behind the counter to hand you your package, I am always amazed.

I come from a long line of customer service training. Having worked years ago at Nordstrom where customer service is always A #1, I know my standards for customer service are quite high. Going above and beyond expectations for your customer is a must.  Greeting your customer the minute they want in the door; asking your customer "What brings you in today?" and showing a genuine interest in their purchase goes a long way. 

Many business I visit offer mediocre customer service. When I do receive exemplary service I smile, am gracious and am sure to thank them for their customized service. After all this type of excellent customer service keeps your customers coming back and telling others about you.
